“Nazareth! Can anything good come from there?” Nathanael asked.
“Come and see,” said Philip.
We are deeply saddened and disturbed when our country has not treated people from other countries or within our own country with dignity and respect. As citizens of this country, we believe there is another way. We look to God and the words and life of Jesus as our guide to relationships.
God calls us to be a loving, growing, and welcoming community. By following the Holy Spirit and maintaining a relationship with Christ, we seek to live as witnesses of Him, offering healing and hope to the world.
To our friends, brothers and sisters in Christ, strangers, immigrants, and those in our own country who are oppressed—we reach out to you in love and ask your forgiveness. We know that a wonderful Savior came out of Nazareth, just as we know that there are wonderful people all over the world.
Please pray for us as we seek God’s guidance in acting for peace, justice, and reconciliation, through Christ’s love, in our communities and around the world.
