Choose This Day Whom You Will Serve

September 8, 2019

From our Deuteronomy text, we hear the pleading words of the Moses as the leader of the Israelites as they prepare to enter the promised land after 40 years of wandering in the desert. Moses pleads for them to choose to serve God, to choose life, not death. God will journey with them and has promised them the land but they are called to serve God always

And yes it means counting the cost like our Luke text demonstrates. Following Jesus, being a disciple, means we carry the cross, we count the cost like someone planning to build a tower and prepares. The journey of faith is hard but in the end of blessings of God throughout your life.

Choose to serve God, choose life.
