Stories from Mennonite Convention 2019

July 14, 2019

Today’s focus is on the breath of the Holy Spirit that blows in our church today. We hear stories from the recent Mennonite Convention in Kansas City, MO July 2-6, 2019.

Peace be with you.

With the presence of Jesus, we are able to serve without fear.

We are invited to walk inn someone else’s shoes, especially as we think about the conflicts in the world such as the Israeli and Palestinian conflict. We are invited to see God in the eyes of those around us. Concentrate on what we agree on and spend more time listening than talking.

God anoints us to be Christians in our world.

We welcome the youth to be involved in the work of the church where we learn from them and they learn from us.

The church is a mess but thanks be to God and the spirit’s movement of gathering all peoples and creating beauty among the broken.

Peace be with you.
